Glasgow was awash with colour and style as the city’s Museum of Modern Art was transformed into a glamorous fashion house for the launch of Debenhams Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
It may have been raining outside, but the dreary weather didn’t deter the great and good of Scotland’s fashion world as they descended to GOMA for the sweet promise of summer. The new collections on display included designs by Debenhams staples H by Henry
Guests were treated to champagne and delicious canapes, as well as a trendy Essie nail bar and makeup tips and tricks, courtesy of Bare Minerals. It was soon time for the main event as the eager crowd vied for a front row seat at the catwalk.
The show was broken up into three separate parts, casual day wear, swimwear and glitzy evening wear. Casual day wear was interspaced with choice pieces, such as pretty pastel tops, dresses and trousers, playful jumpsuits, and for a bright pop of colour, floral summer jackets.
The best was saved till last, with breath-taking glam gowns in the evening wear section. Inspiration was taken from cute prom dresses to traditional flowy glitzy gowns. The night was certainly left sparkling thanks to designs from Jenny Packman, Julien MacDonald and Principles.
So whether you fancy an urban safari, blue and stripes or a touch of Seventies chic, Debenham’s inspired collection will sure to have something to suit everybody.
